What is Business Broadband?
Broadband is provided through fixed single analogue phone lines (PSTN) and is the most widely used data connection in the UK market. Broadband is provided from your local telephone exchange, through a fixed copper phone line (PSTN).
The speed of broadband depends on your distance from the local telephone exchange. Signal deteriorates over distance, so the closer you are to your exchange, the higher your speed.
The cabinet in your street also affects your broadband options and speeds depending on its capabilities i.e. fibre broadband availability.
We are based in Horsham, West Sussex, and provide business broadband across Sussex, Surrey and the rest of the UK.
What types of Broadband are there?
Fibre Broadband - starting at £39.99 per month +VAT
FTTC Broadband (Fibre to the Cabinet) offers one of the fastest broadband speeds on the UK network. FTTC is now widely accessible and is capable of providing up to 80Mbps download and up to 20Mbps upload on a single connection making this form of broadband most appealing to business or home users. Fibre Broadband can be bonded together using our Bonded Broadband solution to increase both download and upload speeds.
ADSL Broadband- starting at £29.99 per month +VAT
ADSL Broadband (Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line) is an older broadband technology allowing users a connection of up to 20Mbps download and up to 2Mbps upload. ADSL Broadband can be bonded together using our Bonded Broadband solution to increase both download and upload speeds.
Mobile Broadband- starting at £8.99 per month +VAT
Mobile broadband uses the mobile broadband network to connect you to the internet i.e. 3G or 4G. Mobile Broadband is very convenient for those on the move and can be used anywhere there is a mobile phone signal. In some cases it may be the only type of broadband available in very remote areas which happen to have a good mobile signal. We provide Vodafone network SIM only contracts.
FTTP Broadband- starting at £51.99 per month +VAT
FTTP Broadband (Fibre to the premises) offers the fastest broadband speeds on the UK network, however, is not available to the majority of homes or business as yet. FTTP is capable of delivering download speeds of 330Mbps and upload speeds of 30Mbps making this also a suitable alternative to more expensive solutions such as EFM and Leased Line. New housing developments are commonly now installing each home with an FTTP socket only, meaning you will need to contact a supplier such as ourselves for service on both internet and voice service. Structured Communications are one of only a few providers within the UK to offer FTTP.
How will Business Broadband benefit my business?
All business broadband provided through Structured Communications is designed to be of high standard whilst maintaining an affordable entry point to internet connectivity.
Both ADSL and fibre broadband are ideal for small/medium business tasks such as email, browsing, cloud and voice.
Both our ADSL and Fibre Broadband options are unmetered for usage on both download AND upload thereby giving all our clients freedom of data usage without the fear of caps in usage allowance. Higher speed & resilience
Here at Structured Communications we operate our own independent network for all broadband connections. We are classified as an Internet Service Provider, resulting in high speed connections compared to our competitors, ideal for VoIP solutions and faster cloud system response.
So, why choose Structured Communications for Business Broadband?
Structured Communications ethos is based on delivering quality or product and service. Over our time we have developed into an official Internet Service Provider with our own network, all built to match our ethos. The result of such works is seen in our clients high speeds and high level of uptime experienced. Begin enjoying the security of broadband through Structured Communications today.
As an Internet Service Provider, Structured is in the unique position to be able to offer our clients contracts from 30 days on ADSL Broadband and 12 months for FTTC. This allows us to provide temporary connections where needed, often assisting companies moving office to maintain connectivity whilst larger EFM or Fibre Leased Line services are installed. Temporary connections have also been important for our clients in the construction industry.
Our Broadband platform has been built from the ground up by our in-house team of technical engineers meaning we have full control of what the network can and can’t do. It also means that we can monitor the network 24/7 to ensure all of our clients stay connected and receive a high grade service all of the time.
We have built multi-level resiliency into the network by having direct data links in multiple carrier networks. This means that if one carrier has a fault the system will automatically switch to another within minutes. Most other providers only use a single carrier meaning faults can last hours or even days in extreme cases.
